Wepre parkrun is less than three weeks away. The website is now live http://www.parkrun.org.uk/wepre/. The material for the course has been delivered and technology (timers, laptop etc) will be delivered at the end of the week.
This weekend (Saturday 30th) Rob Mackey and some of the race directors are going to Conwy parkrun to be trained in setting up and the use of the equipment. If any of you are available it would be an excellent opportunity to learn more about event organisation. He is am leaving Northop Car Park at about 8.45. Please let him know if you can join.
Saturday 7th there will be a “Dummy Run” at Wepre. It is our chance to train the rest of the team ready for the inaugural run on 14th. It is our last opportunity to identify and resolve any problems with the route or setting up. Please could we have as many volunteers available for that day. We could do with some club runners to run the course please!
Saturday 14th – the big day. Please can we have have as many core team volunteers available as possible to set up and run the event. We are likely to have significant number of participants so we need plenty of people available to help. I am finalising a list of “on-the-day” jobs and notes about setting up the course which I will circulate shortly.
And finally… after the excitement of the inaugural run we have enough volunteers for each week until we can start to recruit from the regular participants. Please could volunteers indicate your availability for:
- 21st May
- 28th May
- 4th June
- 11th June
- 18th June
- 25th June
